Getting started

• Open Register, enter your name, email and password, tick the Terms and Privacy box and confirm you are 18 or older, then press Create account. Or, after ticking the consent boxes, use Sign up with Google (Continue with Google on the sign-in page).
• Forgot your password? On the sign-in page press Forgot? next to the password field to get a reset link by email.
• After 5 wrong passwords in 15 minutes, sign-in is paused for a while to protect your account.
• After sign-in you land on Dashboard. The sidebar opens every feature; on phones the main items are in the bar at the bottom of the screen. The '?' Help button in the top bar opens a quick help panel for your role.
• Switch between English and Hindi with the language switcher in the sidebar.

Paper mode and live mode

• Crypto India holds no crypto of its own. Until a regulated custodian is connected, the app runs in paper mode.
• In paper mode new accounts start with no coins. Buys, sells, swaps, SIPs, copy-trades and rebalances are practice trades at real server-side prices, marked "Paper" with a paper_ reference instead of a blockchain hash.
• In paper mode you cannot receive, send or buy real crypto with real money. Those actions show "Paper mode: real crypto can't be received, sent or bought yet. No money or crypto has moved."
• Live custody (real deposits, withdrawals and card/UPI coin purchases through a custodian) is coming soon. It is switched off in the app until a custodian is connected, and the custodian's name will be shown in the app when it is.
• If you see a red SANDBOX banner, you are on a test copy of the app. Emails and SMS are not sent there.

KYC and Compliance & TDS

• Open Compliance & TDS in the sidebar to submit KYC: full name as per PAN, PAN number, date of birth, residential address, address proof, a live selfie, source of funds and a PEP declaration. Staff review the verification queue.
• The same page shows Section 393(1) 1% TDS estimates (the Income-tax Act, 2025 section that replaced 194S from 1 April 2026), your Schedule VDA tax report and Travel Rule details for large transfers.
• Large transfers carry Travel Rule details once live sends are available.
• An FIU-IND registration number is shown only when a real one has been configured. Until then the page says "Not registered yet".

Markets, coin pages and Watchlist

• Markets lists coins with prices in INR. Open any coin to see its detail page and chart.
• Click the star next to a coin in Markets to add it to your Watchlist.
• Prices are always taken on the server; the app never trusts a price sent from your browser.

Price alerts and notifications

• Open Price alerts, pick a coin, choose Goes above or Drops below, enter the Target (INR) and press Create alert. Alerts fire inside the app and appear under the notification bell.
• Turn email alerts on or off under Email notifications in Settings.

Buy with INR, Swap and Auto-invest (SIP)

• Buy with INR: buying coins with real money needs live custody, so in paper mode it stops before payment.
• Swap: choose the coins and amount, check You receive, then press Swap now. In paper mode swaps are practice trades.
• Auto-invest (SIP): under Schedule a new SIP pick a Coin, Amount per run (INR) and Frequency, then press Create SIP. Active SIPs can be paused and resumed with Pause / Resume.
• Trading fees are charged in credits as a percentage by trade size, with a minimum per trade. The current tiers are on the Pricing page (/pricing).

Send, Receive and Transactions

• Send and Receive move real crypto only in live mode. In paper mode they explain that nothing can be sent or received yet.
• Transactions lists every trade, swap, SIP buy and credit movement, with paper trades clearly labelled.

Connect Exchange and Compare Providers

• Connect Exchange: under Connect a new exchange choose CoinDCX or WazirX, paste a read-only API key and API secret, add an optional label and press Connect. Your balances then appear on the page. Keys are encrypted at rest.
• Compare Providers: compare Indian crypto providers side by side before you choose where to trade.

AI Advisor

• Ask the AI Advisor from the Ask the Advisor card on Dashboard. It covers Indian crypto markets, crypto tax (Section 115BBH and 1% TDS) and PMLA / FIU-IND compliance, in English or Hindi.
• Your first Advisor answer every day is free. Open the app on 5 different days in a week to unlock 3 more free answers that week (streak tokens).
• Free, streak and Pro answers use GPT-5.6 Luna. You can choose another model and pay per answer from purchased credits; the price per model is on the Pricing page (/pricing).
• Welcome, referral, bonus and streak credits cannot pay for AI answers. Only credits you bought can.
• The Advisor gives general information, not personal financial advice.

Credits and top-ups

• Credits are prepaid. The price per credit and the minimum and maximum top-up are on the Pricing page (/pricing).
• Click the credits pill (your balance) in the top bar to open Top up credits. Pay with Stripe, Razorpay or PayPal, and optionally switch on Auto top-up with a threshold and refill amount.
• Any first top-up bonus and its conditions are shown on the Pricing page (/pricing).
• Credits pay trading fees and AI answers. They cannot be withdrawn as cash.

Pro plan and the tax report

• Pro (monthly or yearly) adds 15 AI Advisor answers on GPT-5.6 Luna every month (every 30 days on yearly), on top of the free daily answer, and includes the FY crypto tax report. Unused answers don't carry over. Subscribe from the Pricing page.
• Pro renews until you cancel. You get an email at least 24 hours before each renewal. While Pro is active, Settings shows a Cancel Pro button; Pro stays active to the end of the paid month or year.
• Without Pro you can buy the crypto tax report for one financial year as a one-off payment. It never renews.

Tax-loss harvester

• Tax-loss harvester lists unrealised losses, sorted by largest loss, that you could realise before 31 March to set off against this year's crypto gains. Press Export PDF for CA to download the report.
• It is a report and planning tool. It does not file a tax return for you.

Copy trading (followers)

• Open Copy trading to browse leaders and subscribe. Leaders worth copying (/leaders) lets you filter and sort by Best match, Most followers, Top rated and Win rate; a leader's public storefront is at /u/handle.
• Where a leader offers one, Try free trial week starts a free week. You can pause or resume a subscription from Copy trading with Pause / Resume.
• Paid leader subscriptions are priced by the leader within the ranges shown on the Pricing page. Mirrored trades are paper trades.

Becoming a leader and earnings

• Open Become a leader (/become-leader). Once your KYC is verified and you have a 30-day track record, press Apply to become a leader; until then the Eligibility list shows what is missing.
• Leaders earn a share of every subscription payment a follower really made (the share is shown on the Pricing page). Fees on mirrored paper trades are shown as simulated and can never be withdrawn.
• Once you are a leader, a leader earnings card on Copy trading shows what you have earned.
• Coming soon: withdrawing leader earnings to a UPI ID. Payouts are switched off until our legal review is complete, so earnings cannot be withdrawn yet. We will announce in the app when payouts open.

Leaderboard, battles and Hall of Fame

• Leaderboard (linked from the home page) ranks leaders. The Battle archive (/battles) shows every weekly leader battle with winners and crowd verdicts.
• Vote in the Battle of the Week; My battle picks (/my-picks) shows every vote you cast and your accuracy.
• Hall of Fame (/hall-of-fame) shows monthly streak champions. Daily highlights (/feed) shows highlights and announcements.

Rewards and Refer & earn

• Rewards shows your 7-day activity ring, streak tokens and referral card.
• Refer & earn gives you your invite link and shows your current referral tier and rewards.
• /achievements lists every badge you can earn.

Settings, privacy and deleting your account

• Settings holds your name, profile picture, phone verification, two-factor authentication (Enable Two-Factor Authentication), push and email notifications and, while Pro is active, Pro billing.
• To delete your account, open Settings, scroll to Delete account, press Delete account, re-enter your password (Google accounts type DELETE MY ACCOUNT) and confirm. You are signed out everywhere.
• Stop paid copy subscriptions first (and, once payouts are available, withdraw leader earnings), or deletion is refused with a message saying what to do.
• Tax, payment and AML records the law requires are kept without your name or email. Ask for a copy of your data with a support ticket.

For staff and admins

• Staff and admin pages need two-factor authentication. Every privileged action is written to an append-only audit log.
• The sidebar shows Staff desk, Staff tools, AML & STR, Providers Editor and Affiliate Revenue only to the roles allowed to use them.
• Staff can look up users, grant or refund credits (a reason is required) and publish announcements, within the scopes an admin gives them. Admins also manage the fee schedule, integrations, AML rules and STR export, leader payouts and the go-live checklist. The checklist does not turn live payments on by itself.
